In June 2006, OWAC members
will descend upon San Luis Obispo County, California’s Natural Escape,
for the OWAC Spring 2006 Conference. Sponsored by the San Luis Obispo County
Visitors & Conference Bureau, the conference is scheduled June 4-6, 2006 with
core meetings, craft development sessions and marketplace held at the Embassy
Suites Hotel San Luis Obispo.
San Luis Obispo County is
conveniently located midway between
Los Angeles and
San Francisco
on California ’s Central
Coast.
The county is home to Hearst Castle, scenic Highway 1, two missions – Mission
San Luis Obispo de Tolosa and Mission San Miguel Arcangel, award-winning
wineries and vineyards in two distinct wine grape growing regions – Paso Robles
and San Luis Obispo, Carrizo Plain National Monument, fishing (deep sea and
lake), golf, spas, 80 miles of sandy beaches, Morro Rock, outdoor recreation
(hiking, bicycling, sea kayaking, ATV touring on the dunes), wildlife viewing,
farm trails, and numerous towns and cities rich in history and culture.

Highlights of the
OWAC Spring 2006 Conference include opening night reception and tour at Hearst
Castle, and activities on Monday, June 5 such as deep sea fishing, inland lake
fishing, ATV riding or Hummer tours at Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation
Area, hiking at Montaña de Oro State Park, plus wine tasting and touring.
