"I’d like to express my appreciation to the Outdoor Writers Association of California for allowing the Calaveras Visitors Bureau to host your 2002 Spring Conference. I feel that this was a mutually beneficial arrangement. We had the opportunity to “show-off” Calaveras County to people who hadn’t been here before and remind others who had, what a great place it is for outdoor recreation and sports.

We, in turn, have been benefiting as well through a number of articles that have been published in various magazines. I understand we will also be a topic in a family guidebook. In addition to this there has also been some radio coverage. We continue to receive articles from OWAC members. We could never afford to pay for the marketing we are receiving as a result of hosting the OWAC Conference.

I also like that, as supporting members, we have the opportunity to attend your conferences. Through the conferences we can continue to build working relationships with the OWAC family and also update everyone on the latest happenings in our area. Not to mention, it’s just a great group of people to be around!"

    Lisa Reynolds, Executive Director
    Calaveras Visitors Bureau
