Report Airs on Sacramento's New ESPN Radio Station

SACRAMENTO--Anglers who want to tune into the most up-to-date
reports to plan their weekend fishing adventures can listen to
the all new "Fisherman's Forecast" on KCTC AM 1320 in
Sacramento. Western Outdoor News assistant editor Bud Neville will
once again host the report-style show that follows everything fishing
from hard fighting ocean salmon to high pressure bass competition,
to placid streams full of trout in the Sierra Nevada.
"The best news is our sponsors," said Neville. "Our
new sponsors are organizations I can be proud of supporting; both
the Sportsman's Warehouse in Rocklin and the California Department
of Boating and Waterways have offered their support, and will alternate
as sponsors weekly. As a dedicated Sportsman's Warehouse customer,
I can tell you that this store is the place to buy your outdoor
gear, with a great selection and excellent prices."
CDBW is another organization that anglers can be proud of, constantly
funding ramp and dock upgrades in the state, and getting the message
out to boaters to be safe on the water, said Neville. "Without
a doubt, CDBW is one of the best run agencies in the state, and
they are constantly doing great things for anglers."
The short style reports will begin to air on May 4, and will run
every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., and
also on Friday evening between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Prior to a 2005 format change on KCTC, Neville hosted "Fisherman's
Forecast" for six years supported by one sponsor for the entire
span. The two-year hiatus came to an end when KCTC became Sacramento's
ESPN partner, airing their nationally syndicated sports format.
Rich Ripley, local sales manager for the station, wasted no time
in resurrecting the "Fisherman's Forecast" by offering
sponsorships. For more information on possible additional sponsorship
opportunities, contact Ripley at (916) 339-4585.
