Great Fresh Water
Action in Big Bear Lake!
__________________________________________________________________________________________
May in Big Bear Lake means lots of hungry rainbow trout. The water
level remains high and the fishing is ready to explode! This year,
Big Bear Municipal Water District officials anticipate one of the
best fishing seasons ever. Not only is the lake full, but the lake
is thriving with thousands of rainbow trout. In fact, the alpine
lake is famous for its “pink meat holdovers.”
In addition to the great trout action, Big Bear Lake has both
largemouth and smallmouth bass, making it a popular fishing retreat
for bass anglers. Other varieties of fish include catfish, crappie,
pumpkinseed and bluegill.
