Gray Lodge Wildlife Area Clean-up Day (near Gridley).

CWA Youth Hunter Camp at Mystic Duck Club in Riverside County.

These camps are designed to introduce youths to hunting and related outdoor activities. Youngsters will get Hunter Education training and take the test to get their hunting certification. Contact George Oberstadt at (916) 648-1406 for more information. Reporters welcome!

April 7
CWA Wood Duck Program Dinner in Fairfield.

April 21
CWA Southern California Shoot and Barbecue in South El Monte.

Up to 150 shooters will enjoy Triple B Clays’ great setup for a mixed shoot of 100 targets for just $100. The price also includes lunch, a CWA membership, and a free hat. Contact: Adam Weleba, 626-353-4592.

California Wood Duck Program Field Day in Galt.

Join the program coordinator, CWA’s Jeremy Kwolek (916-648-1406), to learn about this highly successful nest box program. Nearly 35,000 wood duck ducklings were hatched from program nest boxes in 2006!
