REGIONAL PUBLISHER AWARD WINNER AGAINSunbelt Publications of San Diego has won two more national publishing awards: Oasis of Stone: Visions of Baja California Sur won a silver medal in ForeWord magazine’s Book-of-the-Year Awards in the Nature category June 1 at Book Expo America (BEA), held in New York City.
The Independent Book Publishers Association’s Ben Franklin Gold medal, also awarded at BEA in New York, went to Sunbelt’s Fossil Treasures of the Anza-Borrego Desert in the Science/Environment category. Fossil Treasures published by Sunbelt Publications in partnership with the State Parks and the Anza-Borrego Foundation/Institute, also took a first place in the San Diego Interest category at the 13th annual ceremony of the San Diego Book Awards in May.
