The non-profit Yosemite Association has two unique photography courses coming up in the park, both taught by Sierra veteran John Senser.

May 16-18, “Hetch Hetchy Photography Backpack” goes in to explore from a basecamp at Rancheria Creek above the controversial reservoir. Wildflowers and waterfalls in Hetchy will be at their peaks.

June 16-18, “North Dome Moonrise Photography Backpack” will have participants in the backcountry for two nights to witness the spectacle of the full moon rising beyond Half Dome.

Both backpacks are considered fairly easy. Free park entry and free camping the nights before and after both courses are included. More details are found at www.yosemite.org/seminars or by calling YA at 209/379-2321.
